Wren Cabinet

This piece was a natural evolution of the Dove Cabinet, which we had made with the same client a year previously.

Simplifying and honing the design, this time in Oak and Lime, with a richly patinated brass top and legs.

Keeping all the same intricately designed and meticulously executed hand cut joinery, which though like the Dove Cabinet, will never see the light of day, give us great satisfaction knowing its there doing its job for generations.

The texture, again hand carved, this time in the slightly more forgiving and willing Lime timber, once carved is bleached and oiled with a white finishing oil to give it a bright, contemporary feel.
