Pebble Desk & Stool

We love this playful, extremely minimal, sculptural desk.

The brief from this lovely client was, to forget about any real functional considerations, other than a surface at desk height. All our attention was to be focussed on a minimal, striking sculptural form, that was in equal parts playful and able to hold its own in a home designed by a master in minimal architecture.
With a matching stool to nest underneath it.

This epitomises our work as bespoke makers, and was an excellent technical challenge to execute; as minimalism leaves nowhere to hide.

All curves, silhouettes and silky smooth all round, with the pebble is hand shaped with gentle subtle undulations, the whole desk and stool are delightfully tactile and inviting.

Made in 80mm thick solid English Sycamore its as hefty as it is playful.
Finished in a white oil to keep the timber fresh and pale.
